Week 04 University

Last Week: Ashley graduated, became an infallibly good witch, BSOC and headed home. Gavin, Olivia, Luis and Meadow joined the SS, GH and get their plaque for their respective OTH, Olivia & Luis received plaques for Arts & Crafts. Gavin and Olivia got engaged, Luis and Meadow get engaged

Whew so much happened last time, we should be able to relax during their last two years… right? Mmmmmm… No… not exactly. I have some planning to do… a building to expand and upgrade… plants to plant… flowers to arrange and patterns to sew… all this and keep up their GPA.


*squints* If you look closely you can just make out the GH and all the changes I’ve made to the house… *does her impersonation of Vanna White* And to the left is the basketball court and behind the court you will find their wonderful money saving windmills. The clever folks in this Greek House are environmental conscious and receive refunds. *snaps out of her Vanna trance* The layout of this house was already odd. So when I got my hands on it, it got even odder. *giggles* its like an outline of a box with a pool, hot tub and small garden in the center. The only bad thing is when it rains they complain about weather in their house.


Ah Professor… erm… something or other. *waves at the professor* He dated Ashley in order to keep her GPA up while she studied her witchcraft. *folds arms defensively* Hey now, I have my priorities right. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and infallibly good… TYVM! Anyhow, lets see what goodie he brings to the house.
*let it be good… or at least expensive… crosses fingers hoping*


Cha Ching! Thanks Prof! The remaining Geek house students thank you. They’ll enjoy it immensely.


Another gift, I love this lamp. I have no idea what it does other than wealth.


Again I saved the last wish. Why do I do that? I have no idea. Ah well, both Luis and Meadow wished for wealth.


The kids are in their last year here and need a GH house sitter. Enter Amar. I picked him for two reasons.
1. He’s a blazer boy
2. He’s easy on the eyes! *grins*
Think about it, Miranda the romance with 20 simultaneous lovers is next in Uni… who better to have in the Greek House but her first potential victim?


Ah there you are… I should have known. This is where he sat during his ‘probation’ time and beyond. I worried for him. He never moved from this chair during their whole Senior year. So I had Olivia make a snapdragon just for him. Did I mention, Olivia managed to get her gold badge in flower arranging? Erm, well yes she did.
Psst… Amar… are you still alive? *waits… waits* Oh he… uh… isn’t playable yet. Hmmm… *pokes Amar*
Amar: *looks around confused* Did… did someone just… *shakes his head and goes back to reading*
Heh… maybe he will marry in to the hood… I’d erm… have to change his hair… hmmm… at least by the time he was an elder… *grins*


Gavin has a gold badge in sewing. The guy just would not get rid of that stupid want. He insisted he ‘must’ learn how to sew! So sew he did. He made Meadow’s wedding dress and lots of curtains to hang up around the GH.


I encouraged them to work on other hobbies. I mean come on, they needed a break from all that studying. Why not play a game or two? I just love how Olivia kept winning and Luis would just give her those looks… yes, much like that one *giggles*
Meadow: Go left, Luis. Left!!
Luis: Cheater! You cheat, Oli
Olivia: Cry me a river, you just suck, Lu. Watch my 1337 skills!


They still eat together on occasion. In Cedar Park, I didn’t pay enough attention to family bonds. I’m hoping not to repeat that mistake this go around. It’s easier to keep a relationship than renew them. *pauses, tilts her head* Yanno, they tend to talk at the same time. How do they even hear themselves think?
Luis: So when the clouds broke and the sun came out we hopped back in to the hot tub for a quick…
Meadow: Luis! Your sister doesn’t want to hear about that.
Gavin: Maybe not, but I do. *Glares at roo*
*snicker snorts* What?
Gavin: I would never have said that…
Maybe not, but you’d have thought it!
*Gavin glances at Olivia and grins at roo.*
That’s my boy.


Before they left, Gavin gave Amar a tv he brought home on one of his campus visits and an outfit that I picked out for him to sew and the keys to the Greek house.
Amar: For me? Really?
Gavin: Yup. Take good care of the place. It holds a lot of good memories.

Week 04 Ramos Family

Last Week: The kids skilled, made friends and mostly survived. Luis made a new best friend just in time to take her with him to college… oh and he let Olivia come along.


If you thought week 3 with the Ramos family was short, week 4 will change your mind and make last week’s update feel like a novella. Miranda is in the house alone.


You may remember Miranda became a witch at the Fitzgerald house this week. That is because I have plans for her or more accurately the Ramos house. Fitzgerald’s will have all good witches. Ramos house… well…


Gah! Agatha! *sighs* Once this house is finished, one of the first things I am going to do is create a basement and stuff her in there!
As I was saying… in the Ramos home things will be different.


Ah, a neutral witch! Yay!! The Ramos family will have neutral. Who will have evil witches? Hmm… time will tell. I may not have any. Who knows? I sure don’t… its much too soon to make that call. I may not stop there. I may have other super natural beings in different homes. *ponders*

I uh… what was that sound?


Heh, I love when a date is remembered and they come back to drop off a gift. *waves at Meadow* Now go back to college, Luis will be wondering where you are. Miranda will take good care of the stereo till you get back. *sells cheap stereo and replaces it with the new one* Very nice… now where was I?

Oh right, I had to make a decision about Wednesday evening. Continue to the end of her week (Monday morning @ 4 am) or stop now and go play at the university. Miranda’s time is almost up as a teen and she’s merely days to her transition… actually by the time I made this choice, it is more accurate to say less than one day.

So my options:
1. Move someone in and make them playable to hold the house until Luis and Meadow come home.
2. Stop playing, go graduate the group in Uni and have a GH holder until Miranda can take over.

I went with Option 2. I’d much rather have a GH holder than a house holder. A GH Holder can go back to being non-playable in a bin, where a house holder becomes playable. With Olivia’s LTW and Meadow’s LTW creating more sims than I wanted so soon in this challenge, the last thing I need is a holder becoming playable.


Did I mention this update was short? Ya, I kept my word. We’re done.

Week 04 Fitzgerald Family

Last Week: Andrew got his first TOC in Law Enforcement, changed jobs to entertainment and was promoted to Birthday Party Mascot; Gavin took his scholarships and went to college

Ashley’s home! *sighs* Ya… so uh not much drama happened… *shrugs* Well this is a prosperity neighborhood, where things are suppose to be good… I’m not allowed to kill anyone off and I’m not supposed to jeopardize things and create drama like a soap so uh… I don’t know how to play nice any more!


GAH! I hate clowns!!! Hurry up and get promoted! *shudders*

Ashley took a job in crime since her ‘dream job’ was not yet available… hmmm… seems rather ‘against’ her infallibly good ways but it was the highest paying job so I made her take it anyway.


Naturally, I got a chance card… *holds breath and clicks*


Oops, sorry Ashley, at least she didn’t get fired. Problem is, she is extremely lazy and hates to work out so losing body points is harsh for her. Getting them back was a bear!


So I had her work out until she whined about being tired and stinky, then I would plop her dainty butt in her ‘special witchy’ chair and let her study cooking. (She has the cuisine OTH.) then I would make her work out again and… well rinse & repeat.


Andrew managed to get promoted. I am not too thrilled with this entertainment job… from a clown to a mime, to a ventriloquist, to a lounge singer… ew, okay, just ew!


Andrew came home with the flu. Ugh, no flu epidemic please! So I sent him to take a nice long comforting bubble bath and to rest a lot until Ashley could come home.
Andrew: You can stop watching me bathe now…
*blinks* what? I uh… moving along…


Yay, she cured him. I tell you, having a good witch in the house comes in handy!


While at the university, I made sure to invite Miranda over so she could meet Ashley. I want another witch and yay, I got another one!


A couple of odd things happened this week. No, not Andrew’s case of poison ivy from his hike… (that by the way cannot be cured by a spell.) Poor guy was miserable!

First odd thing came up when I attempted to get Ashley in to the garden club. She has a gold badge, so I thought it would be nice… only to be refused an inspection due to an emergency on the lot? *blinks* Really? Where?!


Andrew decided he wanted a butler, fine… Ashley grabbed a phone and called up the service. Along comes our butler. Who promptly fired the maid who always runs out of the house as if she’s being chased by… something. (odd thing #2) As soon as that business was taken care of he ran to the phone and called the fire department!


Here comes Mitch Lawson to save the day… he gets out… looks around… and says, I gotta go be more careful.


This went on all night. *waves hi to LeTourneau*


As soon as one would leave, the butler ran to the phone. *waves hi to Maura* Finally when Mitch came again, I had Ashley meet him. He’s my favorite of the three. It wasn’t until the butler went home that they stopped coming. I’m glad it was their last night because that got old fast!


Before I leave you for this update… one last thing happened.


Ironically I had just moved the solar panels earlier… yanno, that looks painful. *grimaces*
That’s about the time Andrew hit the zone in Science (his OTH). I was curious how he would receive his plaque seeing how he was still with the aliens.
Jace stepped on the lot, claimed congrats and promptly left. *pout* I was hoping it would be more interesting. Oh if you look at this picture, you can see he only has 3 days left until he is an elder. I doubt he will be preggers after this encounter.


I waited until he got home before ending this week.

Week 03 University

More kids in Uni! Oh.joy. *grins*
Last Week: Ashley got in the SS, starts the GH and became a good witch (yay!)

All new comers spend 1 year in a dorm.


*blinks* When did I turn the special events back on? *watches the opening and turns in to a pile of goo* Aw I forgot how cute that is! I love when the parent hugs the kid so hard. Its pretty realistic in a simmy kind of way.


*blinks again* Oh.Em.Gee!! What is Olivia wearing!?!? *falls off chair laughing and searches for eye bleach* That is hideous! Okay everyone grab a door and we are going shopping…
While they were out, I looked around for blazers, only saw one and I had Meadow (seeing how she has the most nice points of the ones I took with me. Somehow Olivia stayed home but the other three came? *shrugs*) and they had a nice head start on a friendship before I sent them home with new clothes.


And here they are… erm… *pokes Luis* the coach caught him before he could make it to class

First I need to introduce Meadow… although I know most are very familiar with her.

/facepalm So much for keeping the population in check…


I have them eat meals together occasionally, a habit I got in to with my legacy family. I find it keeps their friendships closer… and once one gets in to the SS the others will fall easier… besides, Olivia needs to cook as her OTH is cuisine.


So first year for all uni students pretty much goes the… dang it, I knew I forgot something! Hold that thought cow.


Ah, much better… as I was saying, they live happy in the dorms that I dub the ‘freshman dorms’.


They go to class and meet the blazer crowd.


They skill for classes and in Luis’ case, for his OTH and seeing how he’s a knowledge sim, he’s going for a max all 7 as well.


I also have them meet who ever is in the GH and join as soon as possible.


Olivia and Gavin both had the want to get engaged, so I let them… although I think that is odd that they fall in love again after they get engaged… Meadow and Luis for some odd reason were not in as big of a hurry.


Although Gods forbid a female even speaks to Luis… Meadow comes running to flirt with him and remind him he is taken! *giggles*


Before their first year ended, Meadow finally rolled the want to get engaged. She needed the aspiration points so I gave it to her.


This is where I stopped to jump in to the GH to prepare the house and Ashley for the invasion of her little brother and the others. Yes, that is a true kidnapping fail… she stood behind the chair so he couldn’t get up to be kidnapped. She eventually went away. *shrugs*


I jumped in to the GH and played Ashley through a year to her Sr Yr and then called the now Sophomores over and moved them in one by one.


That night Demi Love got her man… *giggles*


Now seeing how Ashley is my first witch, I have much to learn. One of the things that I wondered was what would happen if someone other than her tried to ‘examine’ her things…


Now this I expected… I saw this happen in an update by Mao… but what about the cauldron?


Oh this could be bad *snickers* and off he ran… fast… across the house to the bathroom upstairs because I hadn’t finished the two downstairs yet…


I thought for sure he was going to be sick, but instead he grabbed a glass of water… how odd.

Okay enough of this update.

I told her to say goodbye to the llama mascot so she wouldn’t be disturbed during her date with Scot who doesn’t seem to mind that she kissed him. She had never spoken to the guy before… sims are strange creatures.
